Thief Confirmed to be 1080p/30fps on PS4, 900p/30fps on Xbox One

Just one day after Jeremy Conrad tweeted the resolution and frames-per-second, Square Enix has confirmed to Eurogamer that Thief will be native 1080p/30fps on PS4 and native 900p/30fps on Xbox One. This news comes one week before Thief launches, and also marks the second time this week where a PS4 game is 1080p, while the Xbox One version is not (the first being Ground Zeroes).

Game Director Nicolas Cantin talked about the resolution differences on new-gen consoles by saying the Xbox One version “is as good as the PS4 version” and “you really need good eyes to see the difference.”

“The immersion is more [on new-gen],” Cantin added when talking about the PS3/Xbox 360 and PS4/Xbox One differences. “We put more detail in, more special effects. But at the same time, we kept the same gameplay experience with the current-gen and the next-gen versions.”
