Vertical Platformer Downwell Launches on May 24 for PS4 & PS Vita

May 5, 2016 Written by Jason Dunning

Already available on PC and mobile, Moppin’s Downwell is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on May 24 in North America and Europe. Priced at $4.99 USD, it will also include cross-buy.

A vertical platformer where you fall into a deep well filled with monsters and traps, you use your Gunboots – boots that let you shoot bullets from your feet – to kill enemies, or slow your descent. Creator Ojiro Fumoto adds, “On your way down you’ll find different guns, shops with helpful items, and upgrades like explosive balloons or a set of silverware to eat your foes with. The well is randomly generated, so no two trips down will ever be the same!”

The PlayStation port of Downwell is being handled by Red Phantom Games, with Devolver Digital publishing.

A trailer wasn’t given for the PlayStation version, so we’ve included the iOS/PC launch trailer above.

Will you be getting Downwell this month?
