Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, isn’t on that list. Maybe as DLC? Maybe the price was too high for his likeness to be included? Whatever the case is, your dream match up of MJ going up against Lebron in an NBA Jam-like video game won’t be happening soon.

NBA Playgrounds will feature:

All 30 NBA teams are featured in NBA Playgrounds, and all players can be leveled up over time.  Play solo, with friends in local and online multiplayer, or against the world in online tournaments. There are hundreds of over-the-top dunks and moves to unleash for show-stopping displays of acrobatic skill on lively playgrounds across the globe.

Set to launch this May for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, NBA Playgrounds seeks to rekindle that NBA Jam magic with its own unique take. As someone who played a lot of NBA Jam growing up, I’m quite excited to see how this one shapes up. Fingers crossed it’s a slam dunk rather than an airball.
