For some time, the internet has been abuzz about the possibility of a remake to the highly acclaimed PS1 classic, Final Fantasy VII. However, in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, a Square Enix executive made it quite clear, the company’s plans on a potential remake.
Tetsuya Nomura, long known for his work on the Final Fantasy games, said that a remake of the beloved game is not in the company’s near future. This is unfortunate news, as many gamers wanted to experience an HD version of the classic.
Until, if ever, a remake comes out, you can just entertain yourself with Final Fantasy XIII, which is slated for a March 9th U.S. release.
