Bioshock 2 Single Player DLC Coming Next Month

If you enjoyed slaughtering swarms of splicers while your little sister gathered ADAM, and I must admit those segments were a great adrenaline rush then look no further as 2K has announced that a new Bioshock 2 DLC  is dated to be released next month. The new DLC named “Protector Trials”, will be a single-player DLC which will put you back in the boots of the Big Daddy as you defend your Little Sister from hoards of corrupt splicers who are dead set on stealing the precious ADAM from the Little Sister as she gathers it.

This new DLC has been developed by the core team behind Bioshock 2’s single-player, and is said to focus on frantic combat and fast paced action, which will test players mastery of weapons and plasmids.

The new DLC pack will introduce:

  • Six new maps: three unique difficulty levels, each based on favorite locations from Bioshock 2.
  • New unlockables, including never-before-seen concept art and videos.
  • Seven new Trophies.

But that’s not all, Chirstoph Hartmann president of 2K has also claimed that even more DLC will be released in the following months.

“In the coming months, 2K Games will publish more downloadable content that extends the single-player experience, providing new insight into the world of Rapture. The next package will expand the narrative, and introduce new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed utopia under the sea”.

“Protector Trials” have been dated to be released on the PlayStation Store on August 3 and have been priced at $4.99. Bioshocks 2’s first two downloadable packages, “Sinclare Solutions Tester Pack” and “Rapture Metro Pack” are both also currently available for download at the PlayStation Store.
