PlayStation Plus Updates Now Bi-Weekly

PlayStation Plus subscribers have been offered full game demo’s, discounts,  a load of free games, avatars and themes, and up till now we have gotten them each week. Sadly though, it looks like that’s about to change and the offering is going to be a but more staggered…

Announced on the Official PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Plus content will now be released on bi-weekly schedule. They did not state the reason for switching to this new cycle, but I’m sure it is to make the updates look a little more robust instead of just one or two things each week. Rest assured, we will still be seeing the same great free and discounted content, though, just not as often

Here is a look at what will be releasing next week:

Red Faction Guerrilla from THQ – 60-minute Game Trial
Qore August Episode with exclusive demo of TerRover from SOE
PixelJunk Racers Second Lap – Early Access and Limited Time Discount exclusive
Aero Racer mini – FREE

Also noted in the post is that some of the content added last month will be coming off of PSN Plus. Of course it should be expected that all the content would not simply stay on there forever, but it was not made exactly clear before this. So to those that have been putting off downloading be sure to get your hands on these free and discounted content before it goes back to regular price:
