TurboGrafx-16 Classics Coming to PlayStation Network

Gamers are all about nostalgia. There is something special about playing games from yesteryear, and realizing not only how far the industry has come, but how far you’ve come as a gamer. Some might even argue that older retro games, despite featuring low-pixel counts, are better than any of the games offered today. That’s why PSOne Classics in the PlayStation Store, such as Final Fantasy VII, often sell more than new release titles.

This past month, SNK Playmore jumped on the classics bandwagon by releasing Neo Geo Station on the PlayStation Network. Now, it seems that Hudson Entertainment will be following suit and bringing some of the TurboGrafx-16’s best to the PSN.

Hudson Entertainment plans on bringing 10 of the most popular TurboGrafx-16’s titles to the PlayStation Network to be playable on both the PSP and PS3.

The titles, which will release throughout January are as follows:

  • Alien Crush
  • Bomberman ’94
  • Bonk’s Adventure
  • Dungeon Explorer
  • Neutopia
  • New Adventure Island
  • Soldier Blade
  • Super Star Soldier
  • Victory Run
  • World Sports Competition

Specifics on release dates and pricing haven’t yet been announced, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as more information is revealed.
