Gran Turismo 5 About to be Available Anywhere

Throughout the months leading up to Gran Turismo 5‘s release date, there seemed to be multiple reports each week of new features that were being added. Although most of these features were available in the final build, there was one feature that was absent – Gran Turismo Anywhere. Finally, we got word today when this unique feature will be hitting.

Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of Gran Turismo, announced on his Twitter, that Gran Turismo Anywhere will be available “Early February”.

Gran Turismo Anywhere offers the unique ability of being able to control the B-Spec mode from your PC or your favorite mobile device. If you haven’t picked up GT5 yet, B-Spec mode puts you in the seat as an owner/crew chief. You will pick your drivers, place them in a car and instruct them on how to race. Tell your driver to push harder and over take the driver in front of him, or hang back and ride it out, these decisions are yours, but you leave the driving up to someone else. Now, with Gran Turismo Anywhere you can do this all from your PC or mobile device, which should help make some of the longer races a little easier to handle.

As for now, there is no word on how this will be added to GT5 – through a patch, or as DLC, but stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle as we wait to hear an official release date.
