My spidey sense is tingling and it’s telling me to go back to the future. Activison’s Beenox development studio is showing off Spider-Man: Edge of Time to the E3 masses. Since the story was written by Peter David, who has worked on comics such as The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man 2099, the game is sure to get a lot of attention at E3. Activision has just released a brain-twisting trailer for the game.
Peter Parker has been killed by a mad scientist! In order to save humanity from a world without Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 and classic Spider-Man must work together to prevent Peter Parker’s untimely death. Players will switch control between Spider-Man before the events of his death and Spider-Man 2099 as he works to prevent Parker’s death from the 2099 universe. The game will feature a dynamic “cause and effect” gameplay system where the actions of Spider-Man will effect the universe of Spider-Man 2099 or vice-versa. If time-paradoxes have you confused, check out the trailer below.
