Nippon Ichi Teases Four New Games, Looking into PSP Remasters

Nippon Ichi Software has been one busy company over the last few days, having just announced Disgaea 3: Returns for the PlayStation Vita. Now, the company is teasing four new games in development along with the possibility of developing games for the PSP Remasters Series.

Speaking in an interview with Dengeki PlayStation, NIS provided pieces of information regarding the four upcoming mystery projects.

Game 1: An action RPG with full polygon visuals from the team that developed PSP’s Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? and its sequel. In development for an unspecified platform, we should get our first look at this title in about a month.

Game 2: A brand new title from the Disgaea team, said to have the visual quality of Disgaea 4‘s illustrations. The staff is applying the knowledge its gained in networking and other areas from developing Disgaea 4. A famous illustrator is doing character designs. A platform was not specified.

Game 3: A new title from System Plasma, developers of Classic Dungeon. A platform was not specified.

Game 4: A Japanese release of a popular overseas 3DS game.

The good vibes don’t stop there however, as Siliconera recently sat down with Nippon Ichi president Souhei Niikawa, and talked about the PSP Remasters:

We’re looking into it right now.  We’re investigating how the feature works and learning about the system. We’re happy about it too because we have a strong lineup on the PSP and we would like to change that to PS3, so we can have a wider audience.

This is really good news as the company does in fact have a lot of great PSP games and some of them would hopefully do very well on the PlayStation 3.
