One of the biggest shooters of the year, Battlefield 3 sets the bar for multiplatform visuals in a game, but DICE’s FPS isn’t just pretty looks and no substance – it also has trophies! BF3 has one platinum, four gold, six silver and twenty eight bronze trophies, and here’s how you get them all.
Story Trophies:
Not on My Watch (Bronze) – Protected Chaffin from the soldiers in the street in Operation Swordbreaker
– In the Operation SwordBreaker level, there will be a part where your teammate gets shot by a sniper and you need to cover him until you progress further. Once you are on the rooftop, (after the 50 cal sniper part) you will be helping your team from above to cover Chaffin to the chopper. Once he enters the chopper safely the trophy will pop up.
Involuntary Euthanasia (Bronze) – Killed the 2 soldiers before the building fell on them in Uprising
– In the Uprising level, you will reach a bus that you need to enter to progress. Once you are in the bus, you will get shot by an RPG before progressing any further. After that, you will exit the bus and, as soon as you exit the building in front of you, it will collapse and there will be 2 enemies below it.
My advice is to lob 2 or 3 grenades at that location and then exit the bus trying to aim your rifle at the 2 enemies and killing them ASAP because you’ve got between 3~5 secs only.
The Professional (Bronze) – Completed the street chase in Comrades in under 2 minutes 30 seconds without dying
– In the Comrades level, you will arrive in the streets (after exiting the building), and you’ll need to complete that chase in 2 mins 30 seconds without dying. So it’s better to play this on easy and try to do it quickly.
Army of Darkness (Bronze) – Shot out the 4 lights with 4 bullets in Night Shift
– At the start of the Night Shift level, there will be 4 lights that you’ll need to shoot so your team lands. Hold L3 to hold your breath and then aim at the light and shoot it; there are only four and you need to shoot all with only four bullets. Don’t worry if you miss, simply reload the checkpoint.
Practice Makes Perfect (Bronze) – Headshot each of the targets in the gun range in Kaffarov
– In the Kaffarov level, when you enter the mansion, you will reach a target practice area where wooden targets pop up at you.
Shoot those targets in the head. Make sure you kill all enemies first, before attempting this.
What the hell *are* you? (Bronze) – Took a Russian Dog Tag in the forest ambush in Rock And A Hard Place
– This might be tricky for some because you might think it’s a collectable item that you need to find. All you need to do is kill an enemy with the knife from behind to take his dog tag.
The best way to do this is to hit him with the knife first so that he gets dizzy, and then just run behind him and knife him again for a stealth take down and the trophy should unlock after that.
Roadkill (Bronze) – Kicked the car and killed the soldiers in Uprising
– In the Uprising level, you will reach a part where you see a small car hanging on the cliff and two enemies below it. Just approach the car and press the indicated button to kick it and the trophy will pop up afterwards.
You Can Be My Wingman Anytime (Bronze) – Completed Going Hunting in a perfect run
– In the Going Hunting level, you need to complete the Jet Fighter part without getting hit by any other jets. So use your flares and time them nicely. You also CANNOT use more than one missle to destroy another fighter, so its one shot one kill, mess up and you’ll have restart the whole level.

Scrap Metal (Bronze) – Destroyed 6 enemy tanks before reaching the fort in Thunder Run
– In Thunder Run, you will be operating a tank – just shoot the enemy tanks that appear before progressing and the trophy will unlock. This shouldn’t be hard, you will have more than enough time and enemies to choose from.
Butterfly (Bronze) – Took down the jet in one attempt in Rock And A Hard Place
– In the Rock and Hard Place level, once you reach the part where a Jet Fighter is shooting at you and your squad. You need to progress until you get a hold of a Stinger, once you get the stinger, aim at the Jet and wait until the target locks on, and then shoot.
Note: Dying or restarting the level will not unlock the trophy for you. It has to be done in one go.
Twofor (Bronze) – Took down 2 enemies with 1 bullet in Night Shift
– In Night Shift, you will reach a part where there are two enemies standing close together and your partner asks you to shoot them. Make sure you align your shot so that the bullet can kill them both.
If you miss you can always reload checkpoint.
Ooh-rah! (Silver) – Completed the campaign story
– See “Semper Fidelis”
Between a Rock and a Hard Place (Bronze) – Beat Solomon, flawlessly, in The Great Destroyer
– In The Great Destroyer, when you fight Solomon (hand to hand), you’ll need to beat him without taking damage. This means that you should not make mistakes while doing the quick time events (pressing the designated buttons on screen), so proceed with care.
Semper Fidelis (Gold) – Completed the campaign story on Hard
– As the title states Start the game on hard difficulty and play it carefully
It’s not very hard, but it will require some skill. Take cover and play smart. The AI is really realistic in this game and so they can be tricked easily. Unlike other FPS games, they don’t have aim bots or wall hacks that allow the AI to ‘see through walls’, or target you specifically, so you can always flank them while your team shoots.
Be patient and take your time. Overall it’s medium difficulty, and not very hard.
This is The End (Bronze) – Failed to prevent the attack
– Story related cannot be missed.
Where Are The Other Two? (Bronze) – Found the nuke
– Story related cannot be missed.
Shock Troop (Bronze) – Survived the quake
– Story related cannot be missed.
Wanted: Dead or Alive (Bronze) – Captured Al Bashir
– Story related cannot be missed.
No Escape (Bronze) – Captured Kaffarov
– Story related cannot be missed
Flash Forward (Bronze) – Captured Semper Fidelis
– Story related cannot be missed.
