Ubisoft has announced the release date and price for Demiurge Studios’ Shoot Many Robots for PSN and Xbox Live. They’ve also released a video detailing the evolution of the game, from a prototype stage to how it looks now.
The publisher announced that four-player co-op shooter Shoot Many Robots will release for the PlayStation Network on March 13th for $9.99, and on Xbox Live on March 14th for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
The video released today shows the evolution from a prototype that didn’t make it to a game called “City Streets” which tried to offer a riff on run-and-gun games and also tried to capture some of the same kind of movement seen in games such as Tony Hawk and Mirror’s Edge. (The team ultimately went back to the drawing board once more.) The video also shows a look at how the game’s art style changed to what it is now.
