Those of you holding on to your PlayStation-certified devices in hopes of some fresh quality content will finally get what you’ve been so patiently waiting for, as Sony has confirmed that original content is on the way.
Sony Mobile’s chief marketing officer Steve Walker shared the news at Mobile World Congress when discussing the future of Sony’s Xperia Line and PlayStation-certified hardware in general. Unfortunately, he didn’t have too much to share beyond the fact that content was coming:
Sony Computer Entertainment has a vision for PlayStation Suite and they will be leveraging their powerful developer relationships to bring original content through the PlayStation Suite initiative. More to come on that.
As of right now, only ten titles are available via the Xperia Play’s PlayStation Pocket service, all of which are ports of original PlayStation games, so it goes without saying that some fresh and unique content is long overdue.
