Japanese role-playing fans rejoice – Namco Bandai appears to be bringing the latest entry in the popular Tales franchise stateside.
Tales of Xillia is the thirteenth proper entry in the series and is exclusive to the PlayStation 3. It launched in the latter half of Japan last year with no word on whether or not gamers in the west would get a chance to experience it for themselves.
Fortunately, according to a report from Siliconera, there’s still hope for those outside of Japan, as the publisher has trademarked the title for the US. Consequently, this comes hot off the heels of a similar move by Namco Bandai in the UK, which should come as no surprise given the franchise’s popularity among western gamers.
Not only that, but the marketing boss of Namco Bandai UK, Lee Kirton recently tweeted that a big announcement is coming in April. Gee, I wonder what that might be…
