While recent rumors indicate that Rockstar’s next major installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise won’t launch until sometime in 2013, the CV of Rockstar North’s character animator Alex O’Dwyer points to a much earlier release.
On both O’Dwyer’s LinkedIn page and CV, an October 2012 release window is listed for Grand Theft Auto V. The animator has since removed these postings, but Joystiq managed to capture an image of his CV before it was taken down, which you can check out below:
While certainly possible, this would an be extremely unusual move for Rockstar, as releasing more than one major title in a single year is not typical of the studio. Also, with Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite also set to launch this October, it’s hard to imagine why Take Two would want to release the game during such an increasingly crowded month.
