Soul Sacrifice Details Emerge, Set Within a Demonic Book, Screens Inside

If you’ve been itching for more Soul Sacrifice details ever since the mysterious teaser trailer hit the web, we got just the thing, as a bit of new info has just surfaced.

According to a report form Gematsu, in the game you play as the slave of an evil sorcerer who has decided to offer you up as a sacrifice. However, before your are destroyed, a demonic book presents itself to you, allowing you to enter its pages and uncover the horrifying past of the sorcerer.

Oh yeah, and there’s lots of monsters to fight too.

The foes of the game are actually humans who have been turned into terrible creatures by misused magic. As an added twist, the player too can lose their human for if they overuse magic.

Soul Sacrifice is currently about halfway complete and is set to launch in Japan this winter. There’s also a good chance that the game will see localization, as composer Wataru Hokoyama is in charge of overseas recording.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the game, so be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for future updates. In the meantime, enjoy this bevy of screens and game art.
