Konami Pins Down Firm June Release Date for Vita Version of MGS HD Collection

Vita owners looking to take the adventures of Solid Snake with them on the go don’t have to wait very much longer, as Konami has just announced that the handheld version of MGS HD Collection will launch on June 12th in North America.

Unlike its console counterpart, Metal Gear Solid HD for the PS Vita will – strangely enough – not include the PSP port of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Gamers will, however, get to play both Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty as well as the third installment, subtitled Snake Eater, which fleshes out the story of the legendary Big Boss.

Both of these beloved PS2 ports will feature added touch controls and trophy support. Those that haven’t had a chance to experience these flagship Konami titles should really take advantage of this high-definition bundle of joy – you won’t be disappointed.
