Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 PS3 Patch Version 1.03 Out Now, May Cause More Problems

As we’ve detailed, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the PlayStation 3 is causing quite a few problems for people all over the world. Earlier today, Treyarch released patch version 1.03 for the PS3 which is supposed to alleviate some of the problems.

Full patch details haven’t been released yet, though David Vonderhaar of Treyarch took to Twitter and tweeted this:

It has some good fixes for commonly reported problems and we will keep at it. Of course.

He also went on to say that if you get a notice that says “The game versions are incompatible …”, it means that you have the patch and someone else doesn’t, or vice versa.

Unfortunately, some people are reporting that the latest patch has caused their PS3s to freeze up, whereas others who didn’t get a freeze say that they can’t access the servers.

So basically, if your copy is having troubles pre-1.03, download the update and hope for the best. If you haven’t had any problems pre-1.03, maybe hold off on downloading it until all the issues are smoothed out.

If you have patch 1.03, let us know what you think of it in the comments section below.
