Sony Advertises EU PlayStation Plus with a Slick But Poorly Choreographed Trailer

PlayStation Plus is most certainly a terrific value, but it seems Sony doesn’t advertise it enough. Perhaps that’s set to change – yesterday we shared a promising looking title plugging its free day one inclusion in Plus’ instant game collection. Today we’re here to share an attractive and stylish EU PlayStation Plus commercial reminiscent of PlayStation’s E3 “sizzle” music videos.

The trailer is generally well done, goes over the main features of PS+, while blending these elements with fitting music – but the gameplay clips are often awkwardly placed. Why are you showing Ratchet & Clank when touting indie games, or showcasing Insomniac’s lowest rated game of all time the 2011 released All 4 One – after “Revisit the biggest games of this generation? Plus, it reuses the same games over and over, despite the enormous choice that PS+ actually offers.

Do you think these types of trailers are effective in spreading the word about PlayStation Plus? Was a supremely talented monkey editing the video? Let us know in the comments.
