BioShock Infinite Delayed Another Month

Are you excited for the BioShock Infinite trailer that will be showing on the VGA’s tonight? Hopefully that excitement is enough to hold you over for an additional month as Ken Levine announced today that the game will be pushed back to a March 26th release date.

Okay, guys, I have some bad news. When Rod [Fergusson, Epic’s former Production Director] came on the project a couple of months ago – and this dude is living in a hotel nearby because he really wanted to work on Infinite – he really fell in love with the game. But he said, ‘look, Ken, I really think the game would benefit from three or four more weeks’.

I thought ahead to this conversation and went ‘Oh God! But at the end of the day, we’ve got to ship a great game. So if it’s three or four more weeks, then it’s three or four more weeks. So it’s March 26th, now.

This is not the first time that BioShock Infinite has been pushed back. Originally announced for an October release it was delayed until February 26th, 2013 earlier this year. Meanwhile, be sure to keep an eye on PlayStation LifeStyle to see coverage on tonight’s VGA trailer(s) so that you don’t have to suffer through the Doritos and Mountain Dew yourself.

How do you feel about game delays? Are you accepting of the extra polish added to the game or should developers work harder to meet their original projections? Use the comments as your own personal soapbox to let us know.
