Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 PSN Release ‘Slightly Delayed’ (Update: Now Available)

Update: It looks like that delay was really slight as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is now available to download from the PlayStation Store.

– Thanks Eddie!

Original Story: Yesterday was supposed to see the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the PlayStation Network, but clearly, that didn’t happen. In fact, the Sony Entertainment Network’s website still lists the game for January 29th, so the delay seems to have been a last minute one.

Answering a question that asked where Black Ops 2 was, Grace Chen, director of the PlayStation Store, gave this answer:

Black Ops II was slightly delayed… but keep an eye out on the PS Store for when it comes (soon).

This response could mean that it may release at some point this week as a standalone product, and not part of a huge update, though a February 5th release is also possible. If you happen to notice that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is available before we get a chance to post it, please send an email to tips@playstationlifestyle.net.

Also, for those of you wondering, there was also supposed to be another game appearing on the PSN yesterday, but we’ll have something about that a little later today. Stay tuned.
