inFamous: Second Son Takes Place 7 Years After the “Cole McGrath Episodes,” Stars Delsin Rowe

The trailer for inFamous: Second Son looked really nice when it appeared at the PS meeting a few hours back, but no real details were given to us about just who the main character is and where it takes place. Thankfully, Sucker Punch updated their website, telling us a lot about Second Son.

First off, the game stars Delsin Rowe, a 24 year old who grew up just outside of Seattle. After rescuing people from a bus wreck, he discover that he can direct, manipulate, and transform into smoke. The description ends there, but Sucker Punch does ask, “Could he have absorbed this power from one of the passengers he pulled from the wreckage?”

Taking place seven years since the “Cole McGrath episodes,” the world has changed, with anyone labelled as a bio-terrorist handed over to the Department of Unified Protection (DUP). Their missions is to ensure that another event like those in Empire City and New Marais never happen again. Delsin quickly finds himself in the DUP’s “dragnet,” but he decides to fight back.

As you travel around Seattle, passing by many familiar landmarks, Second Son will feature gameplay and a story that changes based on your decisions, with characters and locations created in a very high level of detail.

Sucker Punch also said that the inFamous: Second Son trailer was “produced in-house using our game engine,” meaning that it is going to look amazing when it launches.

More details are expected in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to PSLS for all of your inFamous: Second Son news.
