Yoshinori Ono Doesn’t Have the Budget to Make Street Fighter V Right Now

After Capcom announced the Ultra Mega Hyper Overdrive Super Crazy Street Fighter IV Edition, Yoshinori Ono, Executive Producer on the Street Fighter franchise, was asked a few questions via his Twitter account.

The first one he decided to answer was if we might see Ultra Street Fighter IV on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, with Yoshinori replying, “PS3/360/PC at this moment. Thanks :D.” The lack of a Wii U version was also brought up, with the simple response being, “So sry, we don’t have plan for Wii U now…”

Finally, on the subject of whether Yoshinori might secretly be working on Street Fighter V right now, he shot down any possibilities by saying, “I don’t have [Research and Development] budget and staff who they’re just only make [Ultra Street Fighter IV].” Once development wraps on Ultra, it seems like a given that production would start for Street Fighter V, but we probably won’t hear anything about the game for some time.

When do you think we might see Street Fighter V? Let us know in the comments below.
