Call of Duty: Ghosts PS3 to PS4 Upgrade Only Costs $10/€10/£10

Yesterday, Sony talked about how certain PS3 games would be upgradeable to their respective PS4 versions for a small fee, with Activision detailing that it will only cost $10/€10/£10 (depending on your territory) for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

We’ll have to wait for further details about just how this program will work, such as which retail stores will take part and how this would work on the PlayStation Store, but that didn’t stop Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, from talking about it:

Today we’re announcing that anyone who buys Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PS3 will be able to upgrade to Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PS4 for a limited time at a suggested retail price of just $10, €10, or £10.

Retail programs, announced by Amazon and GameStop allow our players to upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for $10 as well. We have also previously announced that for a limited time our players will bring all of their Season Pass Content and all of their in-game progress with them within a console family, for no additional charge.

We have the best fans in the world, and we want to make this transition as seamless and easy for them as possible. And there’s more news to come on that front. Stay tuned.

If all games cost just $10/€10/£10 to upgrade, and the process isn’t too difficult, will you be buying some PS3 games on their release day, the getting the PS4 version a little later? Let us know in the comments below.
