Terraria for PS Vita Misses Launch Today, “Still Planned for a December Release”

After appearing in an issue of MCV with a release date of December 4th in Europe, Terraria for the PlayStation Vita has officially missed that release date. As Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store said on the PS Blog, “Terraria will not be releasing today for Vita, unfortunately. It is still planned for a December release. We’ll keep you updated when we receive further information.”

When someone pointed towards the fact that the Terraria release date was published in a magazine, Jawad replied:

We explicitly state every week content is subject to change. Games are prone to delays and push backs for a vast number of reasons, whether said content is ready and complete or not.

As for North America, Sony has never given a release date, but when Morgan Haro was asked about Terraria on PS Vita, he didn’t have any info:

Looking at further comments, it’s clear there was some sort of expectation for the game releasing today on PS Vita. Not sure if we had ever confirmed this on the Blog, but I’ll dig on our end as well and see if we can uncover any news on this.

With the PlayStation 3 version of Terraria on sale for very cheap in North America, Morgan then revealed how it doesn’t appear to be Cross Buy by saying, “At this time, this should just be for the PS3 version of the game.”

So, you’ll have to stay tuned for a final release date in North America and Europe for Terraria on Vita, along with final confirmation as to whether or not this is going to be Cross Buy.
