The Walking Dead Season 2 Gets a New Trailer, PS3 Release Date Still Unconfirmed

With Steam looking to get it on December 17th, and the Xbox 360 on December 18th, we were hoping to get confirmation today from Telltale Games about the PlayStation 3 release date for The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1: All That Remains.

Instead, we received this new trailer, which contains lots of spoilers for anyone who didn’t play the first season, but includes a lot of new gameplay from Season 2:

Over on the PS Blog, Telltale Games Community Lead Laura Perusco could only say that it’s coming to North American PS3s before Christmas (only 2 Tuesdays left). When it comes to a European PS3 release date and the PlayStation Vita version in North America and Europe, they don’t have dates yet, but “are also coming along very quickly!”

Here’s the description for Season 2 by Telltale Games:

The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.

Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad — and sometimes worse — than the dead?

As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.

Once a release date is set for Episode 1, we’ll let you know.
