When patch 1.04 was released for Killzone: Mercenary, it seemed as though we were on track for patch 1.05 to include new maps and more. Unfortunately, the very small 1.05 update recently became available for download on your PlayStation Vita, and it only includes “stability fixes.”
This patch is most definitely in response to some issues that were reported after 1.04 was released, and a Guerrilla Games dev said on the forums about 1.05, “From checking with the team, this update is primarily fixing the crash bug experienced in the 1.04 build during game joins.”
So, with 1.05 only fixing an issue in 1.04, this slightly changes the numbering of the two updates planned for the game’s near future:
Update 6 – Early 2014
- Two new multiplayer maps for free.
- Offline Botzone for Mercenary and Guerrilla Warfare modes.
Update 7 – Early 2014
- Continued refinements.
- Support for playing Killzone: Mercenary on PS Vita TV.
