Way back in September, reports surfaced about the existence of a VR headset for the PlayStation 4. If everything reported was true, Sony pushed back the reveal from gamescom (and didn’t do it at TGS either) to some time in 2014, while Evolution Studios would be making use of the VR headset within DriveClub.
Now, an “inside source” revealed to TechRadar that they’ve used the VR headset already, with a reveal tentatively set for GDC 2014, which starts on March 17th.
The source also says, “The quality and resolution are really, really good. People will definitely be impressed with what Sony’s built” and “Sony has deliberately taken its time to tweak and polish the headset before revealing it.”
Sony decided not to comment on this report, so we’ll just have to wait until GDC to see if this is true.
