After teasing us yesterday with some fun images, Popcap Games and EA have officially announced that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on August 19th in North America and August 21st in Europe.
This dev diary will help fill you in on what to expect from Garden Warfare, and it’s where they also confirm that the Garden Variety and Zomboss Down DLC will be available from day one on both PS4 and PS3:
For the PS4 version of Garden Warfare, it will include 1080p/60fps, Remote Play via your PlayStation Vita, split-screen co-op, and the Boss Mode feature will be playable as a companion experience through the PlayStation App.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is a crazy fun third-person shooter built in the Frostbite 3 engine. Team up with up to four players in the wave-based Garden Ops game mode or take to the battlefield in 24-player battles full of tactical action!
