In the latest “behind-the-scenes” video for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Audio Director Don Veca “details an audio intelligence system that makes virtually every impact and explosion sound unique,” or at least that’s what they’re saying in regards to the game’s audio work.
Regardless of what your stance is on the franchise, the video above shows a significant improvement on the usual gun sounds littering Call of Duty games. Now, it’s less tin cans and more “oomph” to every explosion and crack of the bullet.
While the game has a futuristic setting in mind. developer Sledgehammer Games mentions that they want it to be a believable one — even for the sound design.
Set for release this November, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will hit the PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
