Earlier this year, we found out that The Last of Us on PlayStation 3 had sold six million units worldwide through March 2014. In a new presentation this week by Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer, it was revealed The Last of Us has become Sony’s fastest-selling new IP with seven million units sold worldwide.
With the success of the PS3 version, Naughty Dog also announced at least one new map pack is on the way for The Last of Us, with this new DLC being cross-buy on PS3 and PS4. Unfortunately, Naughty Dog said they weren’t working on any new single-player DLC, but they did hint at more multiplayer DLC being possible down the road.
When we find out more details regarding the upcoming multiplayer DLC for The Last of Us, we’ll let you know.
