PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: August 2 & 3, 2014 – Rogue Edition

Rogue Legacy may be a small indie game, but it seems to have captured the hearts and attention of many of the PSLS staff in a big way. Others of us are still trying to beat games from earlier in the summer, and a couple of us plan to put the games down in the interest of other pursuits away from a video screen.

Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:

Alex Co (@excaliburps)

Possibly some BF4 for me and maybe finish off Thomas Was Alone on Vita so I can start on Rogue Legacy and other bite-sized games (Ed. note – Fair warning Alex, Rogue Legacy is not a bite-sized game. Prepare to get sucked in…). And yeah, more work for the site since I love ya guys and gals.

I am thinking a little bit of The Show, sprinkled in with some One Piece Unlimited World Red and then a whole lot of nothing. Yea, I am in a lull when it comes to games and can only wait until Akiba’s Trip lands on my doorstep or in my email.

Chandler Wood (@FinchStrife)

As much as I would love to be playing Rogue Legacy, I have to write the review for Rogue Legacy, after which I will probably go back to playing more Rogue Legacy, because I am currently enthralled by a game called… ah dammit… what was it called? Ah yes, Rogue Legacy. Oh and weekends are when I stay up until absurd hours of the night and grind out more luck spheres for my Final Fantasy X sphere grid. I’m almost to that platinum…

D’yani Wood (@Dyani)

I plan to put down the video games this weekend to color in my awesome grown-up coloring book while Netflixing, and find some time to read A Clash of Kings.

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

Over the weekend, I plan on trying to get through a bit more of Rogue Legacy since I can’t seem to put it down. Other than that, I will finally unpack from my trip to SDCC, go shopping for a wedding present, and work on a few sketches so that I can step away from a computer for a bit.

Jason Dunning (@Jasonad21)

With The Last of Us Remastered not showing up until next week, I’ll take the time to update my PS4 to firmware update 1.75. After that I’ll probably check out PlayStation Now and laugh at how poor my connection is (and also how high some of the prices are).

Louis Edwards (@ftwrthtx)

After driving a real car at Laguna Seca this past week (check out our article on it, coming soon) I’ve caught the GT6 bug and have been going for my last two license test for platinum. The Aventador and Veyron are just a pain to drive in-game. I may try out Pure Pool for the PS4 and try some Table Top Racing for the Vita.

Zarmena Khan (@Zarmena)

I’m determined to finish Watch Dogs this weekend now that the Destiny beta is over. Other than that, I’ll be playing news contributor for the site.

August is here! What games are you playing as the summer begins to come to a close?
