It has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will have 13 multiplayer maps when it launches (14 if you have the Collector’s Edition), and it will feature the return of the Emblem Editor.

In an interview with IGN, Sledgehammer co-founder and co-studio head Michael Condrey confirmed that the upcoming CoD game will have 13 multiplayer maps when it launches, although players who order the Collector’s Edition will get a bonus Atlas Gorge map.

Condrey also confirmed via his Twitter account that the player Emblem Editor, which was missing from Call of Duty: Ghosts, will be featured in Advanced Warfare.

Putting a damper on your Call of Duty spirits, however, is a new report from Cowen and Company analyst Doug Cruetz that found that Advanced Warfare pre-orders are tracking 50 percent behind Ghosts‘ pre-orders, and 80 percent behind per-orders for Black Ops II. Cruetz believes that this is due to the huge number of games that are coming out in November

Call of Duty faces a very competitive slate following its launch on Nov. 4, with Halo, Grand Theft Auto, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Dragon Age all scheduled for release between the Nov. 11 and Nov. 18.

What do you think of all this Call of Duty news? Will you be getting Advanced Warfare, or are you getting some of the other games that are coming out in November?
