Sony Promises PlayStation Plus Members “Diverse and High Quality” Games Across PS4, PS3, PS Vita

Since the PlayStation Experience event was first announced, Sony’s been teasing that we’ll be getting exclusive first looks at 2015 games, with the list of developers attending including Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Sony Santa Monica, and many more.

Following the confirmation of December and January’s PlayStation Plus free games on PlayStation 4 yesterday, PlayStation Digital Platforms Senior Manager Matthew Harper responded to someone on the US PS Blog who said the upcoming PS+ games would push him in the right direction to buy a PS4:

There’s more announcements coming from us here at PlayStation that I suspect will help get you into the fold this holiday season ;).

Switching to PS+, Harper replied to a different commenter who hoped the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita free games in December/January would be amazing:

Deal. You have our word that we’ll continue to provide our Plus members with a diverse and high quality selection of games across all three platforms.

While Harper didn’t specifically confirm if this early PS+ reveal was a direct result of the DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition delay, he did say, “We knew that we had to give our community an advanced preview of what to expect from Plus in the coming months. We definitely appreciate your patience.”

Over on the EU PS Blog, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus Content Manager Chris Howe revealed why the November PS+ announcement took so long:

We were working right up to the last minute on a few things but we wanted to make sure we could bring you as much information as possible, hopefully you are happy with the outcome.

As there’s a “few things to finalize,” we won’t learn of the PS3 or PS Vita PS+ free games until closer to December. Howe added, “We have a few things lined up for the coming months that I’m sure you will enjoy on your PS3.”
