Developed by Puppygames (Titan Attacks), Curve Digital announced today that Ulratron is set for release in early 2015 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, complete with cross-buy across all three systems. You can check out the above trailer to get an idea of what Ultratron is all about, but keep in mind that it’s from 2013 and was designed to promote the PC version.
Just like Titan Attacks, Ultratron isn’t a sequel, with Curve saying, “It takes a classic arcade game and coats in a layer of modern polish, vibrant, colorful graphics, and addictive risk/reward play.” Similar to Robotron, Ultratron is a twin-stick shooter that adds upgrades, two player co-op, and adaptive difficulty that adjusts based on your skill level. In all, there will be over 40 levels.
For the rest of Curve Digital’s line-up in 2015, puzzle game Nova-111 is set for release on PS4 and PS Vita, with “at least two more unannounced games coming to PS4 next year as well.”
