Let’s face it, people like beautiful things and it’s the same with gamers. Sometimes an average game is given a pass due to how pretty and shiny everything looks — not to say the games listed below have sub par gameplay –and that’s fine. We’re in the same boat.
So if you’re looking for the game with the best eye candy, you’ve come to the right place. Here are the games that wowed us visually in 2014.
What do you think of the winners so far? Make sure to check back tomorrow for another list of categories and winners before our Game of the Year is officially named on Christmas.

And the Winner is...
DriveClub (post-patch)
DriveClub is easily one of the best looking games of the year. From its beautiful and diverse environments to its incredibly realistic weather effects, a casual onlooker could easily assume it is a video of a real race, rather than a video game. It takes full advantage of the PlayStation 4's graphical capabilities, and puts them to the test.
