Planning on playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt repeatedly even after you’ve finished it? Fortunately for you, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that there will be 36 The Witcher 3 endings (or “states”), that should make it a whole lot more satisfying than coming to the same conclusion each and every time.
As part of our interview with CD Projekt during our The Witcher 3 hands-on preview, we asked Level Designer Miles Tost about The Witcher 3’s multiple endings and branching dialogs.
Yeah, there will be plenty of endings. Actually, that is a pretty cool thing. I think we have been saying something like 36 states that the game world can end in. It is cool because it can allow for endings that are deeply unique to what you did. It is like YOUR ending for the whole story, so you get a good connection to the ending. We hope that you will be satisfied, I think they are really cool.
With 36 “states,” there’s bound to be an ending that will resonate with RPG fans, no? Make sure to check back later in the week for our complete interview with the studio in all things The Witcher 3.
