Update (July 17):
The Ciri DLC is now available to download in North America (follow the link below) and takes up 24.6MB.
Here’s what the PlayStation Store says: “Mix things up with this new and finely crafted outfit for Ciri.”
Original Story:
Last week, a free piece of DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released, but CD Projekt Red warned that it could cause issues when downloaded.
After pulling it from the store and fixing it, CD Projekt Red has officially announced that this week’s piece of free DLC for The Witcher 3 is an alternative look for Ciri. Based on past DLC releases, expect it on Thursday, July 16.
When more details about the new look are revealed, we’ll update this post.

10 Memorable PlayStation Crossovers
-
Mortal Kombat
There are few series that are more beloved than Mortal Kombat. 2011's reboot was a fresh start in a lot of ways, including starting a trend of including some crazy crossovers via DLC. Not only could gamers play as Freddy Kruger, they could also play as Kratos from God of War! This was a dream come true for fighting fans.
-
Ape Escape 3
While this wasn't the most memorable crossover that Ape Escape was involved in (more on that later), players experienced seeing a special Ratchet & Clank themed ape in the series third installment. This wacky cameo fits in with the sense of humor seen in Ape Escape, so we would love to see more of this if we finally get a new entry on PlayStation 4!
-
PlayStation Move Heroes
Similar to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, PlayStation Move Heroes is a game that is entirely built off being one giant crossover. This title, that was made to help sell PlayStation Move controllers, featured Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Jak. While the game ended up being less than stellar, fans got to see some fun cutscenes that saw the characters interacting.
-
Street Fighter X Tekken
While Street Fighter X Tekken wasn't as well received as the other fighting game on this list, it did feature several awesome PlayStation crossovers. Three characters, most notably Cole from inFamous, were playable fighters in the game! Fans were even treated to seeing Toru & Kuro cosplaying as Ken and Ryu!
-
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational
There have been a lot of crossovers in Hot Shots Golf. While everybody from Clank to Sackboy have appeared in the series, our favorite appearance has to be Kat from Gravity Rush. She golfs as well as she saves the day, and has some of the best birdie celebrations!
-
ModNation Racers
ModNation Racers is one of the best examples to show how crossovers are used in the modern day gaming landscape. Instead of a fun extra, these crossovers are often tied to games as pre-order bonuses or paid DLC. In the case of ModNation Racers, it was both. Players could use Nathan Drake, Ratchet or Kratos if they pre-ordered the title from select retailers, or forked over some cash.
-
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Few series balance serious plots with crazy side content as well as Konami's Metal Gear Solid. Solid Snake has even been spotted riding his skateboard, for crying out loud! One of the most memorable extras was seen in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, where Snake could try to capture several monkeys from Ape Escape.
-
Ratchet: Deadlocked
The Ratchet & Clank series has always had some funny collectible skins, but Ratchet: Deadlocked took it to another level by including Jak. Yes, the protagonist from Jak and Daxter can join in the fun. It was a smart crossover that was a nice nod to fans, and one that we would love to see more of!
-
Rocket League
While we can't say we expected to see a beloved PlayStation character in a soccer game with trucks, it happened. In fact, Sweet Tooth is a perfect fit for the frantic action seen in Rocket League. We're glad that our favorite clown is making an appearance on PS4!
-
Shovel Knight
When it was announced that the critically acclaimed platformer Shovel Knight was on its way to PlayStation platforms, there were a lot of reasons to celebrate. One of these reasons was a PlayStation exclusive level that allowed players to pit their shovel against Kratos. This short, but sweet boss fight was challenging and fun!
