Dishonored Gameplay Comparison Pits PS4 vs Xbox 360

Out this week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the Dishonored Definitive Edition is still locked at 30fps and is “merely a port, not a remaster,” as our review states.

To get a better look at how the new-gen version of Dishonored looks versus the previous-gen version, Polygon compared the PS4 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, with side-by-side comparisons happening throughout.

Earlier this month, Co-Creative Directors Raf Colantonio and Harvey Smith went on Bethesda’s website to discuss the Definitive Edition:

We’re excited. Dishonored is a game we love very much. That can’t be overstated. It’s the fruition of our collaboration, and everyone on the team poured their hearts into it. Think about that just going away because of a hardware cycle transition… it would be sad.

So now a new group of people can play Dishonored, and it will continue on through this console cycle. The graphical enhancements bring this version up to the level that GOTY players get on a high-end PC.

And maybe one of the best things about the Dishonored Definitive Edition is that once we release Dishonored 2, players can play the two games back-to-back on the same systems, getting the full experience.

Did you buy the Dishonored Definitive Edition?
