With the 20th anniversary of PlayStation in full swing, Sony has created a free SHAREfactory theme for North America (out later today) and Europe, which includes the original start-up screen and more.
Here’s what the description says:
It’s been 20 years since the launch of the original PlayStation.
Help us celebrate by downloading the PlayStation 20th Anniversary SHAREfactory Theme and relive some of your favorite PlayStation memories of the past.
This SHAREfactory theme includes:
- 4 intros
- 4 outros
- 11 title clips
- 8 custom transitions
- 26 stickers
- 4 background images
As a note: “This SHAREfactory Theme can only be used with the SHAREfactory app for PS4 and is NOT a Theme for your PS4 home screen.”
If you’re looking for an actual console theme, the PlayStation 20th Anniversary static theme from December is still free.
In addition to the big 20th Anniversary Sale happening right now on the North American PS Store, Sony Computer Entertainment America President Shawn Layden talked about some of the other festivities they have planned:
