Available later today in North America when the PlayStation Store updates (no word on Europe), HTR+ Slot Car Simulator from QUByte is a PlayStation Vita Slot Car Racing Simulation, a virtual version of the classic toy of the 80s and 90s.
Focusing on creating something that completely eliminated the directional controls, Co-founder Guilhes Damian says slot cars were perfect for that:
HTR+ Slot Car Simulator was designed to make the player feel the adrenaline and the speed of piloting these little fireballs, focusing only on the acceleration control. You only need one finger to control the car – a sliding bar simulates the analog acceleration control like the one on the real toy. The expectation before each curve delivers a vibrant experience of tension and suspense we were looking for.
There are a total of 240 possible car configurations, 20 tracks with three difficulty settings, a track editor, Ghost mode, and online leaderboards.
