When Ark: Survival Evolved launched its early access version on Xbox One in December, it saw more than one million downloads (paid and free) in its first week, and the daily player count was already higher than the PC version.
Asked on Twitter if PlayStation 4 owners will get an early access version of Ark, Co-Creative Director Jesse Rapczak said it’s up to Sony:
@AshleyGodber That is up to Sony. Make sure to ask them for an early access program if you want ARK on PS4 – before it finally launches!

When Rapczak revealed Ark’s Xbox success last month, he said getting the game on Xbox One was thanks in large to Microsoft:
Kudos also to Microsoft, Xbox and the [email protected] teams, who have gone above and beyond the past few months to help us meet our timeline for launch this holiday season. We’re finally taming and riding dinosaurs from the comfort of our living rooms due in no small part to their efforts and support.
In terms of current early access games on PS4, Dungeon Defenders 2 was made available in September 2015.
Ark: Survival Evolved was previously set for a full June 2016 launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but it’s now scheduled for summer 2016. It will include PlayStation VR support on PS4.
Will you be asking Sony for Ark: Survival Evolved early access?
