Remember Double Dragon? No? I don’t blame you if you don’t since it’s an old game released way back in the ’80s. However, for old coots like me, Double Dragon holds a special place in our hearts as it was one of the earliest games that had special moves, proper co-op integration and heck, even amazing visuals (back then, at least).
Now, it’s sequel — Double Dragon II — is making its way onto the PlayStation 4 this week. Published by Hamster Corporation, Doube Dragon II The Revenge will be out on February 26 for the price of $7.99. Check out the game’s official description below.
DOUBLE DRAGON II The Revenge” is an action game that was released by Technos Japan in 1989.
In order to avenge lover, Billy and Jimmy will use their signature move “So-Setsu-Ken” to challenge the armed groups of the mystery. In this game, users can use a variety of skills than previous work “DOUBLE DRAGON”, and enjoy scuffles that are power up.
Anyone picking this up to relive some of that old school magic? Or maybe you just want to see what all the fuss was all about back then? While the graphics, gameplay and even story are pretty basic nowadays, remember that this was released during the ’80s. Let’s hope the gameplay still holds up.
