In a press release, Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior 1 and 2) and Gambitious Digital Entertainment have released 10 minutes of Hard Reset Redux gameplay.
Set for release this June 3 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, Hard Reset Redux seems to be a throwback to old-school first-person shooters with its insane weapons, non-stop action, and what seems to be brutal difficulty.
Here’s the rest of the blurb from the press release:
The world as we know it has ceased to exist. Surrounded by vast, hostile wastelands, the remnants of humankind’s dwindling population live within the closed city of Bezoar, but the walls have been breached. As a CLN soldier, you are all that stands between the hive mind machines of The Sanctuary and total extinction.
No level grinding fluff. No pointlessly tacked-on multiplayer. Just a hardcore, no-#@%$-given, single-player FPS. Hard Reset Redux re-energizes Flying Wild Hog’s cyberpunk shooter for a new audience with an upgraded visual engine and rebalanced gameplay, along with new enemies and weaponry.
A first-person shooter with no multiplayer and level grinding? That’s madness in today’s gaming age, right? But games before didn’t rely on those gimmicks to hook gamers and Flying Wild Hog aims to do that with Hard Reset Redux. Will they succeed? We’ll know for sure come June 3.
