Polish developer Madmind Studio has announced that its first-person, survival horror game, Agony, will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2017. You can check out an intro trailer above and some screenshots in the gallery below.
Madmind is a new studio formed only this year, and comprises of nine developers including industry veterans who have worked on titles such as The Division, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 among others. Agony is still in early development but here’s a synopsis and some information that we’ve gathered:
Players will begin their journey as tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past.
The special ability to control people on their path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives the player the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions they are in.
By exploring hostile environment and interacting with the other weary souls of the hellscape, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require a meeting of the mystical Red Goddess.
