Reportedly an 86MB download, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt update 1.23 was released worldwide earlier today on PlayStation 4.
As the singular patch note for today’s The Witcher 3 update reveals, it “fixes bug blocking game progression for some players.”
CD Projekt Red adds, “If you encountered problems with interactive NPCs and items in Patch 1.22, you might experience a glitch which causes the game to show a number of scenes simultaneously after loading your save. After this you’ll be able to continue playing without any further problems.”

As a reminder about the upcoming Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, the closed beta is coming to Xbox One and PC in September 2016, and will expand to PS4 “later.” A date for the full release isn’t nailed down yet, with CD Projekt Red planning “to go out of beta when the game is feature-rich, polished and tested sufficiently. Consequently, we’ll launch when we feel we’re ready to give you a game that rocks!”
