Released earlier this year for Wii U and 3DS, side-scrolling platformer Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is launching on July 26 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC, Nighthawk Interactive and developer Renegade Kid announced today.
The sequel to Mutant Mudds, Super Challenge includes 40 new levels, fight boss battles, and five new pixel-art world themes.
Here’s the description:
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge twists traditional 2D platformers with three dimension-bending layers to jump between: the foreground, background and middle ground. Armed with a potent water cannon and jetpack, players can run, leap, crouch, hover and shoot to traverse each stage’s exciting assortment of enemies, spikes, phasing platforms, crushing blocks and more. Core abilities can be augmented with special power-ups to increase hover time, perform a huge vertical boost, or equip a power shot, and hidden pathways offer pick-ups and 20 secret unlockable characters for intrepid explorers to find.
A price wasn’t given for Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, but it will include cross-buy on PS4 and PS Vita.
As Exophase reveals, Super Challenge includes 12 Trophies. Some of the highlights include beating the game (Silver), beating the final boss without getting hit (Silver), and beating the game with less than 100 deaths (Gold).
