Platform Fighter Brawlout Coming to PS4, Xbox One & PC in Q1 2017

Competitive platform fighter Brawlout is releasing in Q1 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, developer Angry Mob Games announced today.

With the platforming elements and win conditions inspired by Super Smash Bros, Brawlout includes online and local multiplayer battles for up to eight players, online ranked tournaments, local party mode, a solo story campaign, a rage meter that’s used for powerful special attacks, and varied combat styles (you can grapple opponents, freeze them, dive kick their face, bomb them with projectiles, or smash them with long range whips). You can also evolve and customize the fighters, with each starting out with more accessible attacks, and can grow by adding special attacks, new combo options, more movement abilities, and advanced tech moves.

The announced fighters so far are Hawk, Cat, Walrus, Frog, and Monkey. Three more fighters will be revealed in the future.

Angry Mob Games CEO Bogdan Iliesiu said:

We’re all fighting game fans, so we’ve built our dream platform fighter. We’ve heard what players miss from classic fighters and what they love about new ones, and Brawlout is designed to give people the best of both worlds, whether that’s ruining friendships around the TV or going online to anger strangers in tournaments.

If you’re headed to EVO 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center from July 15 – 16, you’ll be able to see Brawlout’s public debut.
