The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition Releases on August 30 for PS4, Xbox One & PC

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition will be available on August 30 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC:

Upon its release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became an instant classic, claiming over 250 Game of the Year awards. Now you can enjoy this huge, over 100-hour long, open-world adventure along with both its story-driven expansions worth an extra 50 hours of gameplay. This edition includes all additional content – new weapons, armor, companion outfits, new game mode and side quests.

Game of the Year Edition is available as Complete Edition in select territories and stores worldwide.

As Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz adds, all updates and improvements ever released are included as well:

After launch, we took a lot of time to improve the game significantly, and many of these improvements came from player feedback. One such improvement, and a major one at that, now available from the moment you start your adventure in the Complete Edition, is a new user interface. Switching between signs and items during combat is now faster and more intuitive. A new inventory grouping system let’s you find what you’re looking for quicker. And because there are so many things to see and do in the world of The Witcher 3, the map now provides players with more markers and filter types to better plan their adventure.

After CD Projekt Red confirmed last month that they’re working on a ‘Game of the Year Edition’ for The Witcher 3, Amazon has listed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition on their website.

Given a release date of Tuesday, August 30, the Complete Edition carries a price tag of $49.99 USD. Only the Xbox One version is listed so far, but a PlayStation 4 version will likely be up soon.

As for what’s included inside the Complete Edition, you’ll find The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and all previously released DLC – Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine, and the 16 free pieces of content:

In the About section, the Complete Edition is mentioned as the Game of the Year Edition. “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year edition brings together the base game and all the additional content released to date,” the site says.

Previously, CD Projekt Red suggested that all post-launch updates would be included in the new edition.
