Calling it “an immersive new gaming experience exclusive to South Park: The Fractured But Whole,” Ubisoft has unveiled the Nosulus Rift, a special fart-smelling device they’ll be debuting at gamescom.
As one of the people in the above video says, “It was exactly as if someone had farted right in my face. I was like, ‘Holy shit! Is this a real fart?'”
The Nose adds, “I smelt more than a thousand farts before I finally synthesized the one.”
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to buy a Nosulus Rift. “This device is not for sale,” the fineprint reads, “it has been designed as an exclusive experience for South Park: The Fractured But Whole during events.” You will, however, be able to buy a fart pillow from GameStop.
Ubisoft’s other plans for gamescom 2016 (August 17 to 21) include playable versions of For Honor, Steep, Star Trek: Bridge Crew, and Eagle Flight, as well as exclusive demos of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Watch Dogs. They’ll also offer a world first behind-the-scenes look at the Assassin’s Creed movie.
